In 2012, Dave Newman joined forces with fellow casting director, Tom McSweeney to form McSweeney Newman Casting, with offices and studio space in Sydney, Queensland and an 'at need' studio in Melbourne.
Prior to this, Dave had the pleasure of working with Christine King Casting for 7 years, and before that a further 6 years with various CDs.
He is now the president of the Casting Guild of Australia.
Dave has been the casting director on many feature films, most recently Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Australia Day, 100 Bloody Acres; and television shows including Tidelands, The End, The Family Law, The Bureau of Magical Things and Mako Mermaids.
